All the equipment runs off standard 230 volt single phase power.

Three phase power can be split and a single phase used.

Power is usually supplied through standard CEE form connectors where it goes through a unit that both filters and meters the supply.

Where necessary 30mA safety trips are used.

Clean power is essential for technical kit, and this is best achieved with a UPS : Uninterruptable Power Supply.

This is basically a big battery that is charged by the local mains, then generates 'clean' mains.

Should the power supply fail, this will continue to provide power for about 10 mins which is ample time to restore power or shut kit down correctly.
